Absorbs very well. I was very impressed! My skates were caked when I got off the ice and I wiped them, shook the excess ice off the rag, wiped once more and my blades were dry! When I got home I threw the rag and soakers in the dryer on gentle/low heat for 20 minutes and everything was good to go!
