Review: Fabulous board but if using a 12th gen CPU be warned. - I bought this to replace my old Gigabyte MB that was 12th gen with DDR4 memory (although was reliable as sin from day one). For me the natural route was to upgrade to a 14th gen (backward compatible) DDR5 board to upgrade the CPU at a later date. The install was fine, some nice extras and also Wi-Fi if needed that works well. However not long after completing the build I started having random BSOD's and total system shutdowns for no reason. It carried on right up until I decided to try and see how it performs with a 14th gen CPU. I also had to run an older BIOS as the current one just would not work, so trying the older BIOS I got it to run. Changing the CPU was the trick, now using a 14th gen i9 I have not had one BSOD, nor system shutdown/failure. It is as solid as a rock. Not keen on the gimmicky software supplied but I can live with it, why it needs to constantly download every option beats me but other than that it is a good board, works well, is reliable and looks good if you have a glass sided case.
Review: Excellent motherboard. - I always buy Asus Tuf motherboards because I want reliability. Looks great in a glass case setup and I have used them on my last three builds. I've paired this one with a gen14 i9 and DDR5 ram and it has worked without any problems as expected. I use it for both gaming and game creation and I honestly wouldn't look anywhere else. If you want a solid product that will last, I would highly recommend this brand.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Since it says stuff about the heat sink next to the cpu, do we need a heat sink on the cpu? (I'm not very educated on computers.)**
A: Yes, you will need a heatsink on any CPU that you ever install.
A lot of them already come with a stock heatsink and some don't. The ones that don't tend to be higher-end, this is because on high-end CPUs an aftermarket, more potent heatsink is needed.
A lot of people also water cool high-efficiency CPUs.
(Tend to be quieter as well)
My recommendation would be to see what kind of build you want to do and go from there. But 100% sure you will need a heatsink on top of your CPU to cool it down, so start by looking at what CPU is compatible with this motherboard and if it comes with a heatsink; If it doesn't, search for a heatsink that is compatible with this motherboard and your build. Some will not fit on your motherboard!
Hope this answer helped you, if you have any other questions don't hesitate in reaching out!

You can also Google search "computer system compatibility" and the first links should help you figure out your system compatibility.

Excelent motherboard. I have to change my original b760 wifi plus, and got this one and its such an improvement, machine works supper estable now, ram at full speed (DDR5 6400 mbts xmp II), connected with an i9 14900ks, it great, has loads to room for expansion if needed so it will stay with me for a long time. I dont use the PC for work, just 3D and illustration, and its flawless.
