There are no labels on it to state what material it is, but I've researched it a bit online and I think that it's made from Polypropylene. If you google 'Wigofil', which seems to be a registered company that manufactures a lot of different products from Polypropylene, it appears to be a very robust material. I'm certainly happy with the quality of the battery jacket - you just lift your battery up, place it in the jacket, then drop it back into place and secure it. When I bought it the photos didn't appear to show the jacket having a bottom panel, but it has. Once fitted the jacket completely encloses the battery. **Q: Do you just put this on overnight or leave it on all the time?** A: All the time; it is a permanent fixture on the running board of my vintage car, and looks a treat.
