I carry them in my purse so I don't have to use the ones in restaurants because I love the glass texture! I could taste the plastic straw in my morning coffee - and now I can't. I didn't even know I was tasting the plastic before switching!! I won't ever go back now. Also - I love that it's clear because I can keep it clean. I have germ heebiegeebies and this helps me know it's clean. I got this multi size one to test which kind I like and they are each for different purposes. The bent one is perfect for 8-10 oz juice bottles, the short straight ones are great for mugs of hot cocoa. the tall ones are great for glasses. I'm glad I got a variety of sizes. I love that I can see that they are clean inside!!!!
