The fit and finish are top notch, pulled it out tuned it up and it was playable straight away. I own way too many guitars from the big brand names all the way to the budget guitars as well. This guitar has really great bones and is built really well! The roasted maple neck is a very nice C shape, the fret work is very well done, you will need to polish them, the bone nut was cut really nice with a rosewood( I think Indian) fret board. I always expect to to some work on guitars at this price point, which is part of the reason I like to buy them. This guitar needed very little work beyond a normal set up, it did need a neck shim, replaced the tuners with some Hip- Shot locking tuners, (the stock tuners were fine I do this to all my guitars.) set the action to my liking and it needed the intonation done on the low E and D strings. The rest of the intonation was spot on. The pick ups are Alnico V and sound really good the split coil humbucker is pretty hot and handles any gain really well. I hate to say this guitar is great for the money as I find this to be a great guitar period. A super value and once again really well built. I was trying to contact Westcreek directly to let them know how pleased I am with their product but couldn't get their website to load on my computer for some reason, something on my end probably. I am super impressed with quality of this instrument and will probably be looking at some other Westcreek guitars for sure ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice guitar *by T***E on October 14, 2024* I only had this guitar for a couple days before returning it. Mine came damaged with a crack in the paint near the bottom strap button that ran along the line where two pieces of wood were glued together to make the body. It might go all the way to the wood but I'm not sure and I'd rather not take a chance so back it went. The guitar itself is very nice for the price paid with the neck being the best thing about it. The shape is very comfortable in my hand, not too thin and not too chunky. There are no sharp frets and there are no high frets worth mentioning. Not perfectly level but very close. The headstock shape is very nice. The pickups sound good but are not very lively, a little on the bland side but usable. Mine weighed a little over 8 pounds but didn't feel terribly heavy as it's fairly well balanced. Build quality is OK. The neck pocket is probably the worst area where the four holes for the mounting bolts are not perfectly round, somewhat oval, and showing some space around the inserts. It doesn't seem to be a huge issue although it is noticeable, especially as one of the holes on mine has a chip in the wood that was poorly repaired. Some YT reviewers also noted some poor workmanship in that area. The contoured neck heel is nicely done and a bonus over other budget Strat copies and even over Squier or Fender, whose many models still use the traditional rectangular shape. The decal that is on the front of the body is somewhat cheesy, I don't particularly care for it now that I've seen it in person. It's not bad but I'd prefer paint. I did not opt to get a replacement but after having this in hand I'd definitely be willing to buy another WestCreek guitar, especially if a future version of this model has better color options available. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unique finish *by A***R on December 15, 2024* The features on this guitar are way above its pricepoint.
