Are you having a laugh? *by N***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 October 2017* I have long thought the Nick Stone series was running out of steam but persevered out of habit more than anything else. This was the final straw for me. This book is dull , slow, does not grip you. . Just plain boring to be brutally honest. Nothing happens until the final third and even then it seems a bit stilted and confusing with a few contradictions (the helicopter scene being a case in point where on one page there are 4 people getting off it but a couple of pages later it becomes 5) . How anyone can call this brilliant beggars belief and makes me wonder about the veracity of some reviewers.Think Andy should stick to non fiction now as the NS books are finished and the Tom Buckingham books were quite disappointing.. ### ⭐ Worst Stone book by far *by C***K on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 October 2017* I’ve read all the Nick Stone books and while they vary in quality, I’ve found all of them entertaining, sometimes very much so. Until now. This instalment - which is very different in style to any of the others, as if it’s been written by someone else - is plain awful. Barely anything happens: it’s just so dull. There’s no obvious motivation for what any of the characters does, including Stone, but the real problem is just that none of them really does much at all. The ending suggests some of the characters introduced here will be revisited. If so, it will be time for me to bow out as a reader.
