Here's the two star reason. The third terminal that isn't used in the tools or a two port charger is NEGATIVE. It's supposed to be POSITIVE. My B&D BDFC240 Ni-Mh Rapid Charger has the third port for charging. These batteries make it pulse a code that says it can't charge. I've circumvented the problem by opening up the third port in my charger so it doesn't contact the the battery's third terminal. A customer shouldn't have to do that! I gave them two stars so I could come back and reduce it to one if they don't hold up. The 3.0 Ah Ni-Mh battery that I bought these to replace is 3 years old before losing performance.
