If you don't have a specific need for this and you're buying it for part of an IFAK this is a great addition. You never know what's going to happen in this crazy world and having this item can really save the day. It can be used for other things than just a chest deal. It will work perfect if that is the issue but can also be used to held a Celox pack over a sever cut or any other kind of rough edge open wound. It really should be in any well stocked trauma kit. I have one in my backpack that I carry daily and one at home. They very light and take up almost no space.
