I purchased size Medium, and lo and behold it fits her perfectly! She actually loves it - it really covers her dress completely (it falls just below her knees). I don't know how well it will hold up; it is very thin but that makes it so lightweight. It's knee-length on me (5'3") and roomy but not huge, fits pretty much like the picture, so I'd say it's a bit smaller than the typical American "one size fits all." Sleeves are a little long but easily turned up given the split cuff style. It even works as a waterproof layer over my lightweight packable down coat.
