I had previously tried using 110V and a long extension cord, but there was too much power being lost over the extension cord, and it just wouldn't weld. These worked like a charm, 240V, 100' (2 of these cables) and although I don't know what the power loss over that distance was, I was still able to weld just fine. For the price of these, they are perfect. Also because I got 2, I can just use one of them around the shop to move the welder to more convenient welding positions.
