On our 10 ft pool 3 little kids can plug it up in a few hours. No problem, take out filter and clean it with a hose but a bigger filter would be much better. Keep a 2-3 filters on hand to get you thru a busy Sunday. You can easily see when the filter is plugging up because the flow diminishes. **Q: will it support a 18×52 intex round pool?** A: No it will not. This pool pump is way to small ,to circulate the amount of water that needs to be filtered. You will need to get the pool pump filter that uses the # A - filters.
