## Description

Dry diamond core bits with #30/40 diamond grits includes SDS Plus pilot bit adapter and is designed for drilling soft brick or building block. 10mm segment height with 9.5" drilling depth. 5/8"-11 arbor size, use wet or dry with dedicated core drills or core drill rigs in rotary mode only.

Review: New bathroom! - I used this tool to drill through stone and a motor foundation into an addition's crawl space. I encountered no significant issues with it, and it was relatively inexpensive compared to what it would have cost to hire someone for the job. The cutting process took a bit longer than I had hoped, but I ended up making a straight, smooth hole. Overall, the tool is durable and could cut through several more foundations.
Review: Worked great - Bought this to bore (8) 4” holes in the side of my ICF house(6” thick poured concrete). Started with the pilot bit but then removed it to avoid binding issues. The upstairs has pink bar in the walls and I went through 2 of those on the 3 holes needed. No problem. The downstairs has steel rebar and I avoided those using a metal detector. It took a LONG time to drill all 8 holes but this bit is still usable(3 hours per hole!!!). The bit is clearly marked that it is not for concrete. But, it worked. I WOULD NOT recommend using a core bit of this size with a huge drill unless it is properly braced. I had to drill these holes on a ladder by hand. My Bosch bulldog(the long one, not the huge squaty one) will break away if it binds instead of breaking your arm. All holes were dry. Keep the dust out of the holes about every 1/4” and it will keep cutting.

**Q: I am in need of a core bit to cut through a tile floor and concrete foundation for a tub drain. Will this bit do the job? Will I need a hammer drill?**

You can definitely use a hammer drill, but you must turn the hammering function off

**Q: I need to drill a hole through brick to accommodate a 4 inch vent pipe.  Will the 4 inch bit do the job, or do I need something slightly larger?**
A: We drilled through a 8 inch cinder block wall with this bit.  We also needed a 4 inch vent pipe...in our case for a dryer.  It was difficult to get a standard 4 inch vent through the hole we bored.  To have it work we inserted a sleeve through the wall made from sheet metal that was probably a little smaller than 4 inches and attached a 4 inch vent pipe on the inside and an outdoor vent on the other.  This solution was easy and worked out great.

Needed to drill through insulated concrete blocks to add a 4-inch vent for small room refrigerated air unit. After mapping out potential locations for rebar using a handheld wall metal detector, I used my hammer drill to drill the pilot hole. I attached the long drill to the 4" hole saw, and proceeded to drill, and this worked very well throughout entire process, probably took me 30-mins w/breaks in-between. The hole saw worked flawlessly. I am fairly sure this hole saw can drill many more holes, it seems very well made and durable.
