### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Bokken

It came as pictured, smoothed out handle, without tsuba (handguard) and with a small segment cut out from the tip. The wooden blade part of the sword is not as well crafted as the handle. There are quite a many small cracks and I'm not worried about the bokken cracking... mostly because getting a splinter from running a hand down it seems imminent. Other than that, it is a solid piece. Because the handle was unwrapped, I wrapped it in a couple layers of electric tape to affect a grip. I paid about $8 roughly the same amount I spent on a bokken off the streets a couple years ago in little tokyo in LA. The other one was done in black, completely smoothed and polished out, had a tsuba intact, had a beautiful dragon design carved into the blade and had wrapping on the handle (although that later fell off). I guess it is good for what I paid. I would recommend buying one with the handle wrapped and with a handguard off of here. I would personally recommend you look at the bulk sets (that come with two or more) to get the best bang for your buck.

This bokken is borderline OK. It says it's made in Japan, but it seems poorly made if it is. The item is described as oak, but it's very lights, so I don't think it's any oak I've ever seen.
