A lot of cheap rechargeable things shut off while power is connected.** A: Yes, it absolutely works with power connected. However, don't expect much from AM/SW reception with it charging. As with even the $$$ radios, if you're listening to AM/SW and charging simultaneously, you'll pick up a ton of interference from the charging circuit and 5v source. **Q: What size tf/sd card does it support, and is there a shuffle/random song mode or function??** A: Mini SD card with tf card that fits into it in order to load into computer. Don't think it has a shuffle mode. It plays books in chapter order. I would think songs the same way. Sound is great considering size. **Q: How good is the reception on this radio?** A: Overall, the reception is good on all bands. When tuning AM and FM, keep in mind that the frequencies are close to each other on the dial . You will need to tune rather slowly to lock into your station of choice. SW is broken into different bands, so tuning is easier. It is a very sensitive receiver though. It is well worth the price. **Q: Does the screen light up when I turn it on?** A: No ## Frequently Bought Together - XHDATA D-328 Shortwave AM FM DSP Portable Small Multi Band Radio Stereo MP3 Player with Rechargeable Battery Earphone Jack Portable Multimedia Speaker with USB Micro SD Card Jack (Black) - XHDATA AN-80 Shortwave Reel Antenna FM SW External Antenna Whip Antenna to Improve Signal Reception Suitable for FM SW Radio - XHDATA D219 Portable AM FM Shortwave Radio Battery Operated Small Great Reception Radio with Good Sound,Earphone Jack for Elder,Home,Child [Gray] --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/62739969-xhdata-d328-portable-radio-am-fm-shortwave-radio-with-tf](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/62739969-xhdata-d328-portable-radio-am-fm-shortwave-radio-with-tf) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
