This is an amazing selection of varied resistance/hardness. The softest is very similar to silly putty (the stuff that came inside a red egg when I was a kid.) I am a retired sign language interpreter. I have always had stronger than average hands due to my profession, so imagine how surprised I was to find myself experiencing soreness and swelling after using the third softest putty for less than five minutes! I don't say this to scare you away from the product though. IMO, this illustrates the range this kit provides. I recently had my first hand therapy appointment, and my provider was quite impressed with it as well. The container also includes a small card that illustrates some suggested exercises.
