Pulverized straw is dust extracted and heat treated to produce a soft, clean pellet of microfibres capable of quickly absorbing large amounts of moisture (up to 4 x volume). Smells are prevented from developing by the rapid absorption. It is only necessary to spot clean the tray on a daily basis, to remove solids using a 10mm holed scoop, so crumbled and unused litter falls back into the tray. Free from additives and chemicals Eticat can be disposed of naturally in compost or garden, small amounts can be flushed. As when changing to any new litter your cat will need to acclimatize to Eticat by mixing some new with old in the first few trays. Full instructions for optimal use can be found on the pack. Looks like wood pellets we've had before but she wouldn't use it. She has used clay, wood, paper and those posh crystal things too - no problem. But, and I've no idea why - maybe it smelled funny or felt funny to her, she hated this. Gave it to the ferret as he just goes in the same place and doesn't care what's in it. It wasn't as absorb ant or as great with smells than other wood based litters we've used. Won't be getting it again. ### ⭐⭐ Not impressed *by K***R on 12 February 2015* This litter does not clump, I therefore found it less economical to use than the clumping type of litter as I was having to completely change the tray more often. It is impossible to sift out the soiled litter because the particles of dry litter are quite large and therefore stay in the scoop, while the soiled litter, which resembles sawdust, drops through the holes in the scoop and back on top of the clean litter. On the plus side I didn't notice much of a smell from it when used, and there was little tracking, however I will reverting back to using the World's Best clumping litter. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not too bad! *by C***K on 23 April 2015* Not a bad product very easy to dispose of, but I wouldn't say it's the best product on the market.
