I was expecting a powdered form (other ant killers we've used have been powdered) but rather than powder its small blue crystals. Makes it really clear where you've applied and where you haven't. I also first applied right in front of the fan without thinking - would have inhaled a powder form but no issue at all with this. I think there's a slight smell from it, caused a slightly dry cough when putting down but absolutely fine since applied. I have seen zero ants since applying so definitely kills ants as advertized, we applied both indoors and outdoors and my only requirement was pet safety/friendly as we've a very curious corgi - he hasn't been interested in it at all and has left well alone anyway but would rather be certain. The applicator has a 'rapid' pour section and a slow pour section, sort of like herb/spice jars. We didn't apply a lot at all, this will honestly probably last over a year with how effective it's been so fantastic value for money. A little goes a long way! It doesn’t kill them. BUT!!!!! What it does do is keep them away. You put this down and they scatter. I think they hate the smell. I’ve put some in the door frame at the bottom.
