I have a PitBull that has destroyed several wired crates and has hurt herself in the process.** A: Our lab has broken through wire crates and plastic crates in the past. This crate keeps him in but he damages himself. We spoke to the manufacturer but they said it’s not their problem and we need to figure it out ourselves. We bought the high anxiety crate with recommended door inserts. He has broken teeth, pulled out his nails and damaged his paws. We use the crate only during times we can’t be home because he almost always hurts himself. We feed him in the crate with the door open to try and acclimate him to the crate. Overall we are disappointed with the design and the opportunities for self harm presented by the crate. **Q: If made by impact crates why no lable on them from Impact?** A: Mine has an Impact label, bright green, just to the right of the door latch when facing the crate **Q: I have a german shepherd who rolls plastic dog crates. Would that be an issue with this crate as well seeing as it is so light?** A: My lab mix has rolled one crate he destroyed but he hasn't rolled this one yet. An IATA 82 crate. As much as I feel like it makes my dog look Scary, she is able to fly with us and that is all that matters. It came in excellent condition and even earlier then expected which was great so we have time to get her use to this new crate! The size was perfect, we ordered a large for my 56 lb American pocket bully. My family is making a move and we have no idea what airline we will be flying or when exactly I noticed that we would need this special crate for certain airlines and I figured it would be best to get one just in case since it does take a little bit of time to process the order and receive. The window I received was pretty close to when we are suppose to leave, I contacted the seller to see when it would ship just in case I needed to cancel and they gave me an earliest possible date it would ship. They were awesome and prompt at responding to me! When it didn't ship by that earliest date I gave them a few more days, but I was impatient and wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong with the order or a backorder or anything like that. I gave them a call and the representative was so awesome and kind and understood completely about my concerns. She found out the status to make sure everything was good and let me know it was shipping either that day or the next but to go with the next day to be safe. It actually shipped out that night and arrived a few days later, even earlier then my expected delivery dates. The product is a bit expensive but it came in excellent condition and it is exactly what we needed to be able take her with us. It collapses nice and small for easy storing so much better then the wood ones I saw that I would have to figure out what to do with when we aren't using it. My dog Nikki has been in our family for about 5 years. She has high anxiety when we are gone. Shas dug through a plastic crate down to the floor boards. She has broken out of 3 wire kennels, and even a 5x10 foot heavy duty wire kennel. We were always scared to leave her at home because we knew she would break out and possibly do damage to our home even for short periods of time. We have probably spent about $900+ on kennels and other products and probably $500+ in damage to doors, carpets, etc repairs.We were very hesitant to make such a purchase, but it has been the best (XL collapsable impact crate) purchase we have ever spent. Nikki has not gotten out and there has been no damage to the crate either. We did purchase the high anxiety door cover for $50 extra to prevent damage to our dogs teeth. We feel so much better when we leave the house and Nikki also seems to enjoy the crate itself.Again if you have gone through multiple kennels/crates and are stressed out about leaving your dog at home, this is the kennel for you. We bought the 450 model crate and while the 800 dollars was a tough pill to swallow it does work. He is actually calm inside of it since he’s learned he cannot get out and he is safe while we are gone which was my primary concern.This crate does fold down easily if you need to travel with it. The only thing that is a downside is the price, but if your dog will snap the wires on a conventional crate and hurt himself this is worth it.
