Main Features & Benefits

Review: Wonderful product - I've had this coffee press for almost 3 years now. I pour boiling hot water in it every day, and it makes perfect coffee every time! It's also easy to clean. I kinda man-handle it and has yet to break or have any sorts of cracks in it. It's great to not use any coffee filters, and the only plastic on it doesn't come in contact with the water.
Review: BODUM customer service went above and beyond. - SECOND UPDATE: Now I've changed my rating to five stars--and I'd give more if I could. BODUM customer service went above and beyond. They actually did not send me the replacement part I requested. Instead, they sent me four brand new BODUM French presses! I've reached out to see if that was a mistake and they want me to return three. I've always loved BODUM French presses. My broken part was really quite an anomaly. First update: I've changed my rating to four stars, because I was able to get through to BODUM customer support and they say they will be sending me a replacement part soon. I've bought these before and like them a lot, so I thought I was getting a good product this time too. Oddly, the "press" part of this one--not the glass-- broke. Actually split in the middle. Makes it hard to get it into the pot. Never had that happen before. Unfortunately, the desertcart return window on this item closed a week ago. But fortunately, reaching out to BODUM directly worked. I should get the new part in a week or so.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How is this model different from the standard bodum 12-oz press with the metal holder which is twice the price?**
A: Plastic lid, handle, and base not metal. Press is metal however. They work the same, just a matter of looks.

**Q: Is it made by glass?**
A: The Pitcher is made of Borosilicate Glass.
The Brazil 12 Cup (1.5 Liter ) [51fl.oz] is made in Portugal.

**Q: Last I checked, 4 cups is 32 oz. Why does it say this is an 8 cup (34 oz) coffee maker?**
A: Hi!

On the description is written 34 ounces (8 cup).

Regards,
House 2 Home

**Q: I have since coffee grind on the outside glass stuck between the glass and bottom part: how to clean without breaking the glass?**
A: You *can* get these apart to clean, but be very careful. The most obvious way is to lift the top of the handle to "unhook" it. That's not the easiest way, but if you have the strength it's the safest. I find it easier to remove the base by turning upside down. Looking at the bottom you want to push the beaker with your thumbs while holding the plastic base with your finger tips. The plastic will be more flexible if you soak it in hot soapy water. The dish soap in the hot water will help it slide out. It may pop out suddenly and is very breakable. I always re-assemble base 1st, then snap the handle over the edge of the beaker. (I've had a few of these. Some fit quite tightly others are fairly easy to remove.)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great little "French Press"!!
*by E***T on March 17, 2026*

So far so good! Small, but that's exactly what I wanted! Works well, easy clean! Haven't tried the dishwasher yet, but since it's so small, it's really easy to clean quickly, and the coffee is delicious! Temperature is very hot still after the 4 minutes to let coffee steep.
