## Description

Unique amongst China teas, Pu'er is fully fermented over some time to produce it's dark, brown-red colour with rich and complex flavours. You can consider Pu'er a ripe or mature tea. In the West fully oxidised tea is called black tea, which the Chinese refer to as red tea. In China, black tea is fully fermented Pu'er. Both produce a dark, intense brew but with very different flavours. Like western black tea, Pu'er is delicious with a splash of milk or even a little sugar. When tea is added with milk, thanks to the body that comes from the milk, the taste becomes very three-dimensional and soft.

## Features

- A smooth drinking black tea with complex flavours, heady aromas and a lovely, slightly sweet aftertaste.
- Brews as dark as chocolate. You can enjoy black or with a little milk, drawing out further flavours.
- Pu'er tea is unique in that it is fully fermented in a carefully controlled process.
- Brew hot at 90 degrees C for 1 - 5 minutes like English tea. No bitterness with Pu'er.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Great

*by D***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 February 2018*

This tea tastes fine, obviously not the same as breakfast tea ! More like a cross between assam and yerbe mate. Its quite strong, to be drunk black i assume. The down side is the fish smell, no idea what that is !

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐

considering the price, it is quite a decent tea

    Quick delivery good tea

Excellent tea in a decent sized pack - each tea bag is individually wrapped and the box holds the 100 well. Tea is rich and full bodied, no dusty or tired tones. Package arrived well in time of delivery estimate. So happy I have bought from them again.
