But I was delighted to find this for only $15! If I had taken it to a shop, just imagine how much more it would have cost.It is a CINCH to install. As far as removing the old, broken one, don't be afraid: you'd think you will break something, but you won't. Just grab that thing and YANK it off the column while wriggling it back and forth. You won't break anything; trust me.Installation is as simple as it gets! Just slide the new one on until it stops, then give it a gentle "pop" with your fist (or less gentle, if it didn't work the first time), and on it goes. Pull up the "skirt" (the whole center console trim) and put a THIN zip-tie around the leather, but make sure it goes into that "groove" that the beautiful new knob you just bought has.(I say this because I missed it the first time, grrrr)It looks perfect, and works perfectly. $15 vs. $150 (or more) to have a shop do it?
