I was out of my usual neosporin and had a bad fall and scraped up most of my lower leg. I had found a small tube of "manuka" honey and was amazed at the results. So started looking for a larger size. I went down the hole of research and reviews, which can take forever, but is useful. I landed on this brand but could only get the +10 at the time. It arrived in time and was in good condition, no leakage and sealed. I think the first thing I did was taste it. This one has a fairly strong medicinal taste, almost can't tell it's honey. What did I know? I've never tasted it before. Told myself that eating it wasn't what I bought it for. As far as wound care, I followed the instructions of cleaning the area and then applying the honey and putting bandage on. I've been using iodine to clean 2x a day. The honey has really made a difference, as much as the neosporin, if not more. For me, a simple scrape can lead to something worse. I've tried the honey on a couple other scratches (cats) and they have healed faster than normal with little scarring, I scar easily I realize now that I should have been taking pictures to document the healing and how fast it's healed. I added a +20 to my subscribe and save and it came today. With the higher rating I was expecting a stronger medicinal taste. I was wrong, the +20 is actually sweeter and tasted good. Not sure if it is something with the difference in the UMF rating or the batch. I may contact the seller and see if they can give a good answer. I recommend the honey, just maybe not the +10 because of the taste.
