**Q: how do you clean the  ear basin**
A: can be placed in a steam oven for 20 minutes at 121-130oC (250-268oF) without any deformation.

**Q: How much fluid does this hold?**
A: Approximately 1 cup. You would want to dump the water in between flushing the ear if it takes some time to clear it, even if only to not spill onto the person if it moves and water spills out as it gets fuller.

**Q: How does this actually work. Do you fill it with warm water, then place it over the ear and tilt the head.Hopefully the water does not remain. Thanks.**
A: This is simply the basin to catch the water (and hopefully ear wax) that flows from your ear after you fill a separate earwax removal system (bulb or plunger) with warm water and flush the ear with the appropriate temperature warm water. By flushing your ear with the warm water along the inside walls of you ear (never directly) you hopefully cause the wax and flushed water to swirl and easily come out into the basin as you hold it tight underneath your ear.
