Review: The Groomi: A Fur-nado in Progress - Blue vs. The Groomi: A Fur-nado in Progress As the owner of Blue, my Cane Corso cross Staffy (approximately the size of a small horse and capable of shedding enough fur to knit a second dog), I was very interested to see whether the Groomi could make a dent in his endless fluff production. After the first grooming session, I genuinely questioned how Blue wasn’t bald. The amount of loose hair this thing removed was astonishing. It pulled out all the dead undercoat and loose fur without yanking or causing any obvious discomfort. In fact, after the initial suspicious side-eye, Blue seemed quite happy to stand there while I continued grooming him. The design is simple but very effective. The wide, shallow comb glides through the coat nicely and doesn’t feel harsh against the skin. Unlike some grooming tools I’ve tried, it doesn’t snag or get clogged every few strokes. It was particularly impressive around Blue’s thicker areas where loose fur tends to gather. The biggest surprise was how much cleaner the house felt afterwards. Usually, I find Blue’s fur everywhere – on the sofa, in my coffee, somehow even inside closed cupboards. After a thorough session with the Groomi, there was noticeably less floating fur drifting through the house like tumbleweed. Pros: ✔ Removes an incredible amount of loose fur and undercoat ✔ Gentle on the skin and coat ✔ Easy to hold and manoeuvre ✔ Suitable for a wide range of coat types ✔ Helps reduce shedding around the home ✔ Easy to clean after use Cons: ✘ The amount of fur it removes may leave you questioning the laws of physics ✘ Expect a sizeable pile of hair after grooming – have a bin bag nearby ✘ Pets may initially be suspicious when they realise you’re stealing half their fluff Final Thoughts: This is one of those products that actually lives up to its claims. It’s sturdy, easy to use, and extremely effective at removing loose hair without irritating the animal. Whether you have a dog, cat, rabbit, horse, or in my case a furry beast capable of generating enough hair to insulate a loft, the Groomi is a fantastic grooming tool. Blue may never forgive me for reducing his ability to leave fur on every item of clothing I own, but my vacuum cleaner certainly appreciates it. Highly recommended.
Review: Great brush, my cat doesn't like it but does a great job - I have a black short hair cat, considering he is brushed regularly I have been surprised by just how much fur is coming out of him using this brush. It has made his coat sleeker, shinier and softer. The brush feels well made and I doubt I will ever need to replace it, so worth the price tag. I also have much less fur to sweep up since using it. Unfortunately, although my cat is used to being brushed, he doesn't like this comb and attacks it. I give him a treat to distract him for a few minutes while I work on a small section each day. I don't think that's necessarily a flaw of this brush, just my cat's preference. Overall, I'd say it's a great brush which does a great job.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How Can I Stop My Dog From Moulting?**
A: Moulting is a natural process and unfortunately it can't be stopped completely! But, it can be managed. That's where the Groomi comes in. The Groomi reduces shedding around your home by up to 95% as it helps to remove any loose hair from your pet

**Q: How Often Should I Brush My Pet?**
A: If you have a pet that sheds we'd recommend daily brushes throughout shedding season and 2-3 times a week outside of this. The Groomi is incredibly gentle and requires no pressure so it's safe to use frequently.

**Q: How to Deshed a Dog?**
A: Deshed your dog with the Groomi by holding the comb vertically against the coat and using short strokes to dislodge the loose hair. Do this frequently throughout shedding season to keep moulting at bay.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than I hoped!
*by C***E on 28 July 2024*

This is Levi. He’s a 7 month old Rottweiler :) He loves chewing anything rubbery and thinks they’re toys, so after using mitts, combs, brushes and things like Kong Zoom Groom (as recommended by other Rottweiler owners), I had just given in to paying a groomer to bath and brush him fortnightly because he would try and chase and chew the brushes. Also the products I used also never seemed to get his coat properly brushed and I was just sick of spending money to try all of these things! 😅 this Groomi was the last resort and I prayed it wasn’t another gimmick. This is a GAME CHANGER. Firstly he actually enjoys being brushed by this and doesn’t try to eat it, which is amazing on its own and makes the process so much easier! The teeth are exactly the right length to get his coat properly brushed and the knots out, whilst also deshedding really effectively. It’s easy to hold and angle around his legs. I was afraid of it hurting him or getting caught because I’d seen other reviews that have mentioned the sharp teeth cutting their dogs skin, which I can definitely see how that is possible if you have a very short/fine haired dog or it’s a skinny breed, but this is perfect for him! I can also see this working quite well on slightly longer haired breeds. It’s super easy to clean and would spend twice what I paid for it! The only thing is that I could brush him with this all day and still come away with fluff 😂 it’s quite addictive lol. I don’t often write detailed reviews but hopefully this will be a decider for other rottie owners, as I know I would have found this helpful in my search for a decent deshedding tool. Worth every penny, just wish I had got this first 😂
