I ordered both in a size 11, and while the Edmonds' were true to size the FRYE boots were slightly large. They fit perfectly with heavy outdoor wool socks. If you plan on wearing them with dress socks you may want to consider a half size smaller.After wearing these boots 3 times, the left sole developed a very loud squeaking sound. This was loud enough for friends to comment on while walking through the city. After contacting SHOEBUY, they would not refund or replace the boots because they were worn. How I was supposed to discover this defect without wearing them is beyond me, but I was very disappointed with SHOEBUY.I decided to contact FRYE about the issue but didn't have a lot of confidence that they would accept them. Their customer service was extremely helpful, and they had a brand new pair on the way to me as soon as I had dropped off the first pair at the UPS Store. The new pair is perfect so far. Very happy that FRYE solved this issue for me. I would purchase from them directly in the future before using SHOEBUY. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful boots that need a bit of breaking in *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2019* At first I thought these boots were too big for me. I normally wear a 12 and ordered a 12, but my heel kept slipping upwards while I walked in these shoes. I even went over to a Frye store and tried on a half-size down just to see. The guy working there told me that I needed to wear my boots for a few days, and the slippage would improve. He was right! There's still a bit of slippage, but not nearly as much as before. These are also my first pair of Chelsea-style boots, and I was getting used to how these no-lace shoes fit. After a couple weeks, they've easily become my favorite boots -- for both comfort and looks.Besides the fit, these boots are beautiful. I get compliments on them, and they look great with casual wear (jeans) or more formal wear (dark jeans, chinos, etc.). I bought the "Stone" color, and after seeing the other shades at the store I'm glad I did. A bit of a distressed look without looking beat up. Highly recommend.Also, I suggest getting some "weatherproof wax" to take care of these pricey leather boots. The wax helps protect the leather from water and dirt. Frye sells some for $10 or so. Cheap insurance if you ask me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful boot from Frye *by R***A on Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2017* Beautiful boot from Frye, The only issue so far is the heel is really snug and tight for the first few wears so it was almost impossible to put on and take off. Which was embarrassing when I was at a TSA security check and I couldn't get the boot off at first, But after a few wears the boot is much easier to put on and take off, Once on it is a really nice fit and I can wear these all day long.
