We had one before that was much thicker and tougher. The reason we bought this one was the wind got the last one and not only ruined the top but the whole thing collapsed sideways! If I could I would buy a thicker one. **Q: What size is the top tier please?** A: The top tier is 35 x 35 inches (89cm x 89cm). Bought this and fit was good, but my husband had to buy some pipe and bend it and attach it with brackets to our existing frame for the extra air vent piece, which was not on my original gazebo. Bit of a faf, but looked good in the end. We should get another year or two out of it. Only gave 3 stars as the ties are appalling quality and the stitching weak, I would rather have 20 pounds more for stronger ties, hope they do not rip off. As we leave it in the garden all year round, our next gazebo will be wooden with a wooden roof, to give better rain/wind protection .
