Would have made a better 1 CD
Taken from a radio broadcast of the 12 June 1982 No Nukes demonstrations in Central Park, New York, attended by a record 750,000 people, this 2 CD set is let down by: poor sound quality on the first 3 tracks on CD 1; too much radio chatter (particularly on CD1); and three poor tracks (the punkish No More Nukes, by Joy Ryder and Avis Davis; the calypso Plutonium is Forever, by John Hall; and the group sing-out Power). With some trimming, to remove the poor tracks and DJ chatter, this would have made a better 1 CD. The strongest performances are by Jackson Browne on The Pretender (with Gary US Bonds) and Running on Empty (with Bruce Springsteen), Linda Ronstadt, on Tumbling Dice, and James Taylor, on Up on the Roof and Stand and Fight. The CD's title "Anti-Nuclear Disarmament Rally' is strange. It suggests the artists were opposed to nuclear disarmament, while the reverse was the case.

NEEDS BETTER EDITING
Cant Give this Full Marks due to bad Editing meaning Too much "Radio Chatter" Which Spoils it,Would Prefer The Music/Interviews Only and not Dozy DJs Rambling On....But once you Get some music its Top Notch,Linda Ronstadt Steals it with a Cracking Set....The Youngbloods Get Together Finale just perfect.James Taylor his usual middle of the road self with songs that please,A nice guest appearence by Gary US Bonds with Jackson Browne who also invites Springsteen up on Stage....The Marks are for the Music only on this rather hamfisted unedited Concert
