A fair price for the device. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does not come with a new rubber washer that ads the bulb in place . *by O***O on Reviewed in the United States on 15 June 2024* Make sure when removing the existing air cleaner to keep the rubber washer that holds the bulb,I had to pry open the metal tabs to install the bulb ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great photocatalyst for DIY air cleaners too *by C***9 on Reviewed in the United States on 29 February 2024* I'm using this for a DIY air cleaner. I've added it to the output air from a DIY HEPA air cleaner that I made. This product contains two, high quality, honeycomb photocatalyst blocks. It has a UVC bulb in the middle, as well, but you can use any UVC bulb you want, as long as it is between the two honeycomb blocks. I used one of the cheap amazon UVC bulbs, with a standard bulb socket, screwed into a workshop clip light socket, with the metal cone deflector part removed. I cut the aluminum end off of this product, so the larger bulb could slide in between the two photocatalyst blocks. I plugged it all in, and the air quality is already improving. The way this works is by striking the honeycomb's TiO2 (Titanium dioxide) coating, with UVC light, which creates a catalyst reaction when humidity in the air touches the TiO2. That reaction turns water (H2O) humidity, into hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) humidity. Hydrogen peroxide is non-toxic (at these levels), and it kills mold and bacteria. So basically, you are turning mold promoting humidity, into mold destroying humidity, all in a non-toxic way. It's a beautiful thing. I'm not sure how well the 'RekoLighting' air scrubber works, but I can say this component works beautifully in my DIY air cleaner. I've got about 4 times the UVC light going to the catalyst grid, so it will be more effective in my setup than in it's intended machine.
