It is more to the browns and burgundies than the bolder gold and teal tones I was looking for, but it is still a nice looking scarf that is soft to the touch and comfortable for all-day wear. It feels light, but when layered it does keep out the chill. The edges are fringed, so if you like that look you can be sure to pull those to the forefront; however, if you prefer a cleaner line, they are easy to fold in or turn the scarf so that the fringe doesn't poke out.
