Review: Pleasantly surprised - I purchased this to reheat leftovers that have been vacuum sealed so didn't want to spend a lot of money on a sous vide cooker. Based on the price of this unit, my expectations were fairly low and this far exceeded them. First, I was surprised at how quiet it is. I compared the indicated temperature at several points during the heating process with a calibrated Thermoworks Thermapen One and the measured temperatures matched the temperature display on the unit. It also controlled temperature at the setpoint with no obvious drift up or down. I am not often impressed by relatively inexpensive products but this one seems to be an exception. I cannot answer how this will hold up long term but, it seems fairly well constructed so we will see.

Worked great. Perfectly cooked chuck roast to pink inside. After cooking baste with butter or olive oil and seasonings then char roast on a pit. Heaven.
