It is incredibly soft and also a good thickness. We have wood floors and the rugs is still comfortable to lay on. The colors are true to the pictures advertised. I've only had it a couple of months and haven't had to really clean any stains but I can say with a full house including a toddler the rug hides any everyday dirt. I wanted a shaggier rug, but not something crazy over the top - and this rug is perfect. I love the blend of colors, and I love how high-quality it feels.
