I have a dehumidifier that sends water to the container that has to be manually dumped. The connection for a drain hose only worked sometimes. I would go in the basement to discover the bucket full and the dehumidifier off. I finally decided to put a new drain directly in the bucket. This fitting was perfect. I capped off the old connection and moved the drain hose to this new fitting. I had to raise the dehumidifier up on a wooden stand so the fitting is higher than the condensate pump but now the unit stays running.
