It doesn't crumble and comes in the perfect small amount for my 2 year old class. Its very light weight, very soft and fun to play with. I would recommend this for anytime your kid needs a hands on activity for hours to play with. We took this on the airplane since I didn't want her to watch TV the whole time. We had a 3 hour flight (non stop.) She played with it for 2+ hours. I had to tell her to put it away on the descend. Then at grandma's she played with it almost everyday for a week. She LOVES this clay slime and all the colors. Its not runny or sticky. It's slightly wet (from keeping it cracking) and cool feeling and will dry out if not put away. It reminds me of Softer rubber play dough. The clay slime will stick to each other and you can NOT pull it apart. So if you do a craft color blend, beware. You could even use it for a kids school project. We made animals, shapes, numbers, and the alphabet letters on the airplane. You can use cookie cutters with it too. She now has it in the play kitchen with her stuffed toys. .
