Had I paid or had I the choice I would have gone with an electric grinder. That said I'd get on with the review.For what it does, it does well. It grinds the coffee beans really good.A funny story; my house actually did have a grinder before this one. It was the exact same type. However, it was never actually used. Even though the person who bought the first one thought we could use one it was never actually put it use. It just sat there for months collecting dust and spiders.So one day I got the idea to buy coffee beans. Just go the unused grinder could finally be put to use. Though it took a good amount of time for me to find one I found a nice light roast coffee to grind. When I brought the beans home I first had to clean out the old grinder of the dust webs and possible spider that could still be inside. But that is where I made a mistake. I didn't wait until it was completely dry to start grinding and ended up rendering the grinder useless.So I had offered to buy the replacement with my account as the person who bought it didn't have Prime and I would have liked the new grinder to arrive sooner than it would if she had ordered it from her account. She still paid for it.So the new one arrives and I grind a lot of coffee. The only issue would be that grinding the coffee would be quite a workout and would be quite difficult for some people to use. So basically this does what it is meant to very well. But doing so it a good out.
