The video quality is excellent, with a clear, sharp image during the day, and installation was straightforward. This has been one of the best smart home purchases I've made. The video quality is excellent, with a clear, sharp image during the day, and installation was straightforward. One of the biggest reasons I chose this doorbell is that there are no required subscription fees. It supports local recording with a microSD card, so I don't have to pay a monthly fee to access my recordings. That was a huge selling point for me. I was also able to connect it to Home Assistant without any issues and then expose it to Apple HomeKit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sharp 2K image, no subscription fees, and it actually works with your existing wiring

I replaced a years-old basic doorbell with this and the jump in quality was significant. The 2K image is sharp and clear even at night, and the wide angle lens covers a good portion of the porch and front walkway. Motion detection works reliably and the app sends notifications promptly. Being able to store footage locally on an SD card without paying any monthly subscription fee was one of the main reasons I went with REOLINK and it works exactly as advertised. Setup was more straightforward than I expected. The existing doorbell wiring connected without much hassle and the Reolink app walked through the configuration step by step. Integration with their NVR system is seamless if you already have one in place, and it also works perfectly fine as a standalone unit if you do not. The one area I would note is that getting the wifi connection dialed in to maintain a strong signal at the front door took a little bit of adjusting on my end. Once it settled it has been rock solid, but be prepared to possibly move your router or add a range extender depending on your setup. Overall a very capable doorbell camera at a fair price with no ongoing costs.
