Especially after the sec8nd coat, I often needed to use the semi-sharp edge to run along the corners to make sure the tape would come away from the wall without pulling the latex paint with it. It was also great at helping scrape small tape corners up when I couldn't get hold of slivers or pieces that didn't come off with the rest of the tape. Easy to put in my back pocket. Band helpful for scraping small strat dots of paint from the floor or ladder that missed the drop cloth.
