Really delicious in pancakes and French toast. That McCormick Cake Batter flavor is good too. Only problem is that I use these flavorings up way too fast. But we still miss the butter flavor of real butter in our baking. Previously, I have used Watkins Imitation Butter Extract, but it appears to be no longer available. They do have REAL butter extract, but we can't have that. After multiple attempts to reorder it and receiving the wrong thing, I have finally reached out to try other brands. This is the first one I'm trying. It has the exact same aroma as the Watkins imitation extract, so I'm sure the flavor will be the same (I'll edit this post if the flavor is off once I use it; I still have to finish the last bit of my Watkins stuff). I love using a half-teaspoon or so in frostings, cookies, cakes, and quick breads. It adds the butteriness that we miss otherwise! (Note: this is NOT a butter substitute--you cannot use it cup for cup in place of butter! [If you need a butter substitute, you might try Earth Balance or Melt Buttery Sticks.] This is a flavoring extract concentrate, which you can use a small amount of to add a flavor note you're otherwise missing.
