It has a large clip on each side of the vest to secure front of vest to back of vest via a belt. The belt is fully adjustable and there’s a padded piece underneath the belt so that it doesn’t dig into your skin while you’re walking. I am 6 foot two and getting my head through the neck. Hole of the vest usually requires me turning it slightly to the side so that it clears more comfortably. But once it’s on, it’s very comfortable. The first few times I wore it and tried to walk my usual distance, I was whooped by the time I got back. And I started at 20 pound weight. Although I weighed 40 pounds more at one point in my life, I was amazed at how fatiguing just having 20 pounds of weight in the vest was while walking. It makes it hard for me to believe that I weighed the full 40 pounds more, which is the maximum capacity of this fest. Overall a good buy and well-made.
