Look and feel very well made, with a nice weight - not too heavy or too light and good grip. 12x magnification useful compared to 10x, with nicely coated large objective lenses. The twist out eye lens rings are impressive, along with the large, ergonomic smoothly operating focus ring. Add on good clear, bright image and one wonders how on Earth they can be made for such a low price - I suspect one would normally expect to pay a great deal more for such quality. But don't be put off by the cheap price, and forget the usual derogatory statement (which I'm usually guilty of) - "you only get what you pay for".
