Add pigments that are compatible with epoxy resins. **Q: Is this FDA approved?** A: No, but I don't think a product like this is something the FDA is responsible for. **Q: Can this be used for casting with wood to make bowls and other things of varied thickness and what is the cure time?** A: Just like most other epoxies, if the volume of epoxy is too great, it will start to exotherm. You don't want this to happen. Only pour the resin no more than 1/4" at a time. Cure times vary on the thickness of the pour and the ambient temperature. Mixed equal amounts of resin and hardener for a full 20 minutes by hand stirring. After pouring, I needed to spread the product a bit, so I used an old credit card for that. Used a heat gun to eliminate most of the bubbles. In 3 days I had a beautiful glass-like finish. I haven't had any problems with this, or any issues with mixing paint, mica, ink ETC into it. I use it for Artwork.
