It's at most a cool mist-producing fan. It does provide some relief in hot summer though. I use it also for oil scenting my room. Wish there was less noise though. Also dripping water in the front splashes out a bit. Hard to clean the inside - wish I can pull out the water tank completely... but maybe that's impossible for the design. The red and blue LED lights are also kinda bright at night.
