With the older ones, you could see light coming through. With these, no light, tighter fit, and more importantly, they keep small bugs from coming in which was beginning to be a problem as well with the older strips. Super easy to install. Only issue what so ever is that you need to get them in the place that you want as they are not easy to remove or adjust once installed. The branding on it was “q-Lon”. It was great quality but when I did a search, it wasn’t sold in retail stores and I was unable to find anyone who Sold what I was needing. It was very easy to install since the other product was made for a product that was similar in how it was installed.
