It has great flavor, minimal additives and does not require refrigeration. Downright crazy people are expecting perfect slices of grilled bacon or something when ordering a bag of bacon jerky, goodness gracious.I like this jerky and it's a super value when there's a promo. The quality is good and texture is what you would expect out of bacon jerky. The flavor might be slightly lacking to some, but that's because this jerky isn't overflowing with high fructose corn syrup / sugar, which is exactly what I wanted. Occasionally i'll give a bag a squirt or 2 of some sugar free maple syrup and shake it up, which really kicks the flavor up, but it's really good either way and I prefer it without. Docking it 1 star (really just 1/2 a star) because it's quite salty and the bacon flavor a little mild. But i still like it a lot. The texture is not like beef jerky. It's more moist because it has a good deal of fat (because... umm... it's bacon). "Pederson's Bacon, Fully Cooked No Sugar Bacon " ( https://smile.amazon.com/Pedersons-Bacon-Fully-Cooked-Sugar/dp/B07DHSVV1Q/ ) is crispier (but still not crispy) and more flavorful, but also about 2.5x the price per oz as of this writing which is pretty significant. Also the Oberto bag is more convenient if you want to only eat 1 piece, but otoh the Pederson's is better if you want to pack a single-serving snack.
