It feels quite sturdy and stiff. *by R***V on 12 July 2019* At first, I received a damaged product, asked for replacement and it got replaced the very next day, kudos to Amazon for that.Being mechanical engineer, I quite nailed the installation. I went for proper end cap installation keeping in mind various failure scenarios such as bar misalignment & inclination. The rod can extend upto 140cms but it is unstable and wobbling in that lenth. I believe the safe lenth is around 110cms & you should avoid this product if you're looking beyond that lenth. Also it didn't instigate confidence when i was using it without caps cuz i felt the rod can easily be twisted & loosened and the grip might fail during the workout. So i suggest you to do a proper cap installation. The rod is presently withstanding 70kgs of my weight without breaking a sweat. I even sometimes jump on to bar to grab it but it is rigid enough to take any impact.A bit overpriced but the company delivers a quality product. Taking one Star off because of packaging.
