The questions are very thought-provoking and can help you understand the bible in a deeper way. One review says that this is not quite suitable for independent study cuz a lot of questions are open-ended and would need a pastor or group guidance. What I'd like to say is that THIS IS EXACTLY THE POINT! I think it's better to get your own understanding than having a group influencing and potentially limiting the scope of your understanding (that's what bible study group is for!). A pastor may not necessarily be able to give you the correct answer/understanding no matter how experienced he is at studying the bible! Trust yourself, trust the holy spirit! I'm surprised at the quality of the binding. For a paperback book, this book lays open surprisingly easily. It appears as though this book has a sewn binding. I'm not 100% sure. I can't see visible threads, but obviously, the pages are bound together in signatures by something (staples maybe).
