I wouldn't say these are heat resistant -- I feel like a hot dish would very easily transfer heat through this mat and damage table surface. They feel more like plastic than any type of fabric which makes cleaning very quick and easy. They look great and serve the purpose I need, very good price. Definitely recommend, just not for hot dishes.
