A bit stiff and had to muscle in the hole. I almost put a hole through when using a screw driver. I would only recommend using hands to install. I think it will make a good pipe connection in the long run. I used a a flexible sealant inside the groove and on outside of tank to ensure leak free fit. It is a double flanged fitting so it should seal better.
