However, I am grateful that I did when I did. Because yesterday roughly 5:30 p.m. I fell through a roof area to a concrete sidewalk roughly 12 ft off the ground. After landing on the sidewalk, I struck my head on a concrete pillar and was able to walk away with nothing but a slight bump on my head and cuts and scrapes on my body in a severely sprained foot. I truly believe in PPE as everyone should. I have work construction for 16 years without an incident until now and I am proud to say that. However, I would like to say thank you to the people that designed, engineered and created this hard hat. If it wasn't for them I would not be here today.
