The kit comes with everything you need and clear instructions. I love that it has different flavors and that there is basically a chart telling you how strong the flavors will be based on how much you put in. I also love that it is natural and gmo free.I can definitely see how you might need a little adult supervision for younger kids, just because you are dealing with small amounts and potential spills but for ages 9+ it is pretty self contained to just hand to the kids and let them go. My girls really enjoyed making the lip balm and now they each have their own tube, individually labeled with their own art.
