However, despite being in the house, waiting for the delivery, the driver 'presumed' that nobody was home and left it with a neighbour. WHY ?!?!?!? I have no idea. Odd if you ask me. Then on top of that, he never left a card to say its been left with a neighbour. So the only way to trace it was when later in the day I saw it said delivered and managed to trace the signature to a neighbour. However I am new to the area and this was a major annoyance. Its not hard to knock.... or ring the bell.... or leave a 'sorry you were not home card' ____________________________ REVIEW ON THE DRIVE This drive was well reviewed and in some ways appears superior to the caviar black, especially on 1TB models like mine. The price was good (despite nearly a Β£1 rise overnight) I have had bad experiences in the past with Seagate. So tend to stick to brands i have had good experiences with. Sony, Samsung, Zalman, Corsair etc The drive is fast, has 1TB of storage. Its SATA3 with a 64mb buffer. So performs nicely. The only grueling thing done so far was copying files over from an old SATA 1-250GB blue. The writing speed was impressive. Several groups of 40-60GB in less than 10 minutes each. 5/5 for the drive 5/5 for speedy shipping 1/5 for stupid parcel force man 2/5 for packing - 1 end of the drive was un-bubblewrapped. Review: Apt - This product is similar to the old hard drive I had; the only difference with the other being Caviar Green. This hard drive works just as well, and I am well pleased with it. I ordered this on 7/4/14 and it arrived on 10/4/14, which was a day before the estimated delivery period of 12/4/14----15/4/14. Today; the 11/4/14 I also received my Windows 7 Professional operating system so I was finally able to use this hard drive. I put my sata wire in my hard drive and the other one (it's a little bigger and has black. red and yellow wires) and put in the Windows 7 disc. Windows 7 installed in under an hour and the hard drive has 931 GB of memory free on it. The hard drive is doing good so far. Another reason that I bought this hard drive rather than the Caviar Green again was because I have recently learnt about OEMs. My Caviar Green -- which I got from my other computer whose hard drive is broken -- didn't work on this current computer I am using and I now realise that it was due to it being an OEM. There is nothing to indicate that this hard drive is an OEM either, therefore if you want a possibly non-OEM hard drive, get this one. HOWEVER, don't quote me on that, I haven't tested to see if this hard drive works on different motherboards. If you are looking for a hard drive and you are thinking of buying this one, I would suggest that you do. If this hard drive is anything like my WD Caviar Green; this hard drive won't give you any problems. It's also likely that you have read the negative reviews on this HDD, I did too but after having a Caviar Green, this Caviar Blue hard drive performs similarly well and I can't find any fault with it. I've bought about 6 of these drives and 2 of them have had heavy use. One of them started to fail after about 5 years use so that's fair enough. I recovered the sectors that were messed up so no harm done. It's really failing now but at least it's dying gracefully. The other drives have not had such heavy use.
